Stan often visited during the time I worked with CDC in Africa – and he never failed to ask first about family – usually as we left the airport together – and while we drove he checked to see that the driver and any other passengers had their seat belts fastened. That was Stan – concerned about others whether it was those he supervised or those who he served throughout the world. Stan’s Imprint on those who worked with and learned from him will live on, as will his impact on others. Thank you Stan, and thank you Dottie, for the example you have both set.
