I met Stan and Dottie at NPC and the community in northeast Georgia. Stan was a very interesting and engaging story teller, he was such a humble and approachable person that, later, when I learned about his enormous achievements, I thought that we have even more to learn from this man. Not only in the medical and public health fields, but in leadership and being human. I still strive to follow in his example, to give back more than I get and to freely share, encourage and mentor.
