Christian Education

The Nurture Team is involved in planning curriculum for Bible study at all levels and in implementing the social activities for the students in our Sunday School. Two youth represent the children and youth of the church on Nurture Team.

• Adult Education: Horizons "For Everything a Season" yearlong adult study of the liturgical year begins on Tuesdays, 7-8 pm in Advent.
  
  
• Sunday School: Our pre-school and elementary aged students are invited to the beginning of worship with their families each Sunday. They are excused after 20 minutes to go with their teachers to their classrooms. Leadership is rotated among members of the congregation.
  • Godly Play,Our Pre-K /kindergarten students have a class of their own! Their Godly Play curriculum, based on the Montessori philosophy, includes a story about God's people and a period of wondering followed by creative play/reflection and their own "feast." We believe young children learn through storytelling and reflect what they are learning through creative play which reinforces their learning. Children from birth through kindergarten are welcome.

• Youth Bible and Issues Study: Youth Bible and Issues Class for middle and hi gh school youth meets monthly the first Sunday of the month, prior to worship, 9am-9:50 am. A monthly movie discussion night is held--watch the web calendar for titles and plans. Upcoming and recent highlights include
